Lavo hydrogen energy storage system
The Lavo Hydrogen Energy battery is a novel storage option for renewable energy1. It stores surplus electricity in a battery and converts it to hydrogen via electrolytic processes1. The hydrogen is then stored in cartridges for later reconversion to electricity in a fuel cell1. The Lavo hydrogen energy storage system uses innovative, patented metal hydride technology to store hydrogen equivalent to up to 60kWh, which will produce 40kWh of usable electricity2. The system was developed in partnership with the University of New South Wales’ Hydrogen Energy Research Centre3.
As the photovoltaic (PV) industry continues to evolve, advancements in Lavo hydrogen energy storage system have become critical to optimizing the utilization of renewable energy sources. From innovative battery technologies to intelligent energy management systems, these solutions are transforming the way we store and distribute solar-generated electricity.
